UPSTATE OPEN RAISES $160,000

The Upstate Foundation hosted its annual Upstate Open golf tournament July 24 and it was hard to miss the support of Solvay Bank. The financial institution was the event’s presenting sponsor and fielded a terrific team of golfers. They are, from left, Bill Murphy, Mike Pirro, Al Notarpole, President and CEO Paul Mello, who serves as chair of the Upstate Foundation’s board of directors, John Despirito, Mark Lewis, Tami Stone and Nate Walker. The Upstate Open, held at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville, raised more than $160,000 to support the expansion of Upstate’s pediatric emergency department.
